Academic Program Collaboration Points
  • Content Usage and Alignment

The Business Architecture Guild® makes business architecture content available to universities, including the BIZBOK® Guide and other valuable content such as reference models. The Business Architecture Guild® can also serve as a resource to help educate universities on the content and guide any curriculum alignment activities as needed.

Universities play a vital role to guide evolution of the discipline based on feedback captured from participants in university programs.

  • Bi-Directional Advisory

Universities provide guidance to the Business Architecture Guild® on business architecture socialization, positioning, outreach, program evolution, career path and other relevant topics. The Business Architecture Guild® provides guidance to universities on certification, business case studies, career path and other relevant topics.

  • Education and Advocacy

Universities and the Business Architecture Guild® support each other and work together on opportunities to educate and build advocacy for the discipline, such as co-authoring content.

  • Research

The Business Architecture Guild® and Universities may pursue joint research efforts, where research findings may further the maturity of the discipline and the ability of business architecture advocates to promote it more effectively, particularly around strategy execution.

The Business Architecture Guild® shares relevant research topic ideas with universities and connects them with Guild members and their organizations where relevant. Universities perform research to inform and prove business architecture approaches with real-world results, with input from the Business Architecture Guild®.

  • Visibility and Partnership Opportunities

Universities and the Business Architecture Guild® support each other or work together on other opportunities as applicable.  This includes activities such as co-sponsoring events, co-branding press releases, and cross-promoting events and activities.  Universities also receive additional visibility and credibility by being listed on the Business Architecture Guild® website.
